I believe that the potential of positive change is a fundamental building block for creating the best possible future for us all. My work is about discovering and exploring this potential.
Solution-focused therapy harnesses a future-based, non-directive approach, using a positive, nurturing process. My sessions are unique in their gentle and empowering structure. While the neuroscience background helps you to understand how the brain works, the hypnotherapy introduces and cultivates a sense of calm. The aim is to have you leaving my therapy room happier, positively focused, motivated and relaxed.
We know when we are doing our best and I want you to be the best you possibly can be. You can’t run before you walk, you can’t walk before you stand on your feet first, and you can’t stand on your feet if you don’t know how. So to succeed in this, you have to realise what feet are for and then you can truly walk or run. This is how I see my solution-focused therapy: a step-by-step, intuitive process that will really help you to understand and move forward with your life.
After qualifying in solution-focused hypnotherapy (SFH) at the leading Clifton Practice in 2013, I started practising as a therapist at Integrated Health in Sevenoaks. I also had a clinic in Harley Street, London. Prior to this I studied social care, counselling, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) and life coaching.
I have always been interested in psychology and exploring the many therapeutic models led me to decide that the solution-focused approach is the right one for me, but I continue to utilise my other qualifications in my work. I am also a qualified supervisor, working regularly with other professionals in advisory and mentoring relationships.
I am a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH), National Council for Hypntherapy (NCH), the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I have a Diploma in NLP, life coaching and person-centred counselling. I studied integrative counselling (humanistic, CBT and psychodynamic) and completed Level 3, Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB).
Finally, and just as importantly, I am mum to three boys – they teach me every day about the importance of love, empathy, good listening skills, patience and making the most of life.
